FORT WASHINGTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 10, 2002

Genpass Inc., one of the top transaction processors, ATM drivers and specialized debit card services providers in the country, today announced the hiring of Ralph Bianco as senior vice president for its Genpass Card Solutions division.

Bianco comes to Genpass from MasterCard International where he had responsibility for all MasterCard, Maestro, Cirrus, and MasterCard electronic branded, consumer credit, debit and prepaid products.

Bianco will assume responsibility for card product management for Genpass, which has delivered several new specialized card services to the market, including payroll cards -- used by corporations to replace check issuance and payroll accounting - and medical payments cards - used by consumers as direct payment from their medical benefits accounts to their doctor.

Bianco will develop a national strategy for marketing these specialized cards and will play a large role in the development of additional card products for Genpass.

Prior to MasterCard, Bianco was vice president for product management and development for GENSAR Technologies, now Paymentech, which is a leading point of sale processor. Bipin Shah, Genpass president and CEO, was also president and CEO of GENSAR prior to its sale in 1996.

Shah started Genpass in July 2000 and has driven the company, in just two years, into an impressive number two position in ATM driving and top five position in network transaction processing in the EFT industry.

Bianco commented on his jump to Genpass this way: "This is an exciting move for me because Genpass is clearly assuming a leadership role in the development of new uses for debit products and services. Genpass is uniquely positioned to penetrate new markets and to deliver the right products to the right customers at the right time. Our goal is to constantly add value to our services for our financial institution, corporate and consumer customers."

Shah added this comment: "Ralph has worked with me in the past, and he is a dynamic innovator. He will deliver on the Genpass promise to its customers to find new revenue for their EFT programs and to provide more convenience to their retail customers."
