Genius Products Adds Hundreds of High-Quality Titles to DVD Slate Through Distribution Deal with Liberation Entertainment.

Genius Products, Inc. (OTCBB:GNPI), the exclusive U.S. home entertainment distributor for The Weinstein Company, is adding hundreds of high-quality titles to its slate of DVD releases through a new distribution agreement with leading independent entertainment company Liberation Entertainment, it was announced today by Genius Products CEO Trevor Drinkwater.

Under the agreement, Genius will distribute DVD releases in the U.S. from Liberation's library, which boasts thousands of hours of episodic and event television series along with more than 250 feature films. Among the titles set for release on DVD is Sound Stage, the acclaimed PBS concert series featuring such renowned artists as Tom Petty, Randy Newman and Chris Isaak. Additional concert titles include Michael Bolton's first live concert to be released on DVD, Michael Bolton Live, along with Jessica Simpson Reality Tour Live and Gipsy Kings Live At Kenwood House in London.

The library also features first-run theatrical films acquired under Liberation's recent licensing agreement with Regent Releasing and television programs acquired under Liberation's new deal with gay and lesbian-targeted here! Networks.

Some of the first feature films to be released under the new agreement are HELLBENT, from the co-creators of the classic HALLOWEEN and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET; THIRD MAN OUT, starring Chad Allen and Sean Young; and JULIE JOHNSON, starring Courtney Love, Lili Taylor and Mischa Barton.
