General Dynamics General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE: GD) is a defense conglomerate formed by mergers and divestitures, and as of 2006 it is the sixth largest defense contractor in the world[1]. The company has changed markedly in the post-Cold War era of defense consolidation. has completed its acquisition of Itronix General Dynamics - Itronix is a rugged computer manufacturer based in Spokane, Washington. They market products for Telecommunications, Aerospace, Military, Field Service and other commercial industries. Formerly part of the Itron company, they split in the mid 90s. Corporation, a provider of wireless, rugged mobile computing Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission, but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects such as buildings solutions.
Itronix becomes part of General Dynamics C4 Systems. Further details of
the acquisition were not released.
