Diversity at Genentech: Our Philosophy and Values

Genentech is committed to diversity-diversity in perspective, background, and skills. That's why we've created a working environment where each individual is respected, honored, supported, and is rewarded on the basis of personal achievement and contribution. In this environment, each individual has equal opportunity and is encouraged to achieve his or her full potential. Human differences in no way interfere with our ability or willingness to recognize, support and reward. We strive to provide an environment that is open, creative, inspires best efforts and results, and where cooperation and teamwork thrive along with each individual's personal growth and contribution.

In 2001, we embarked on a mission to define our diversity strategy. The resulting Diversity in Action (DNA) 3-Point-Plan provides a corporate platform for diversity initiatives in the areas of recruitment, development and inclusion.
