GenAmerica Financial Creates ''Hall of Fame'' to Honor Outstanding Agents; Ten Agents Inducted for Extraordinary Careers and Contributions.

 through independent advisors, brokers and financial marketing organizations, has created The GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame.

Ten general agents and agents were inducted as the inaugural members of the new GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame at the GenAmerica Financial Business Symposium held recently in St. Louis. Mr. Dick Evans, senior vice president of GenAmerica Financial, said, "The GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame is the highest honor we can bestow on our general agents and agents for consistent success and contributions to our industry."

The general agents and agents selected as inaugural members of The GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame are:

-- Mr. Mark M. Byron, CLU (language) CLU - (CLUster) An object-oriented programming language developed at MIT by Liskov et al in 1974-1975.

CLU is an object-oriented language of the Pascal family designed to support data abstraction, similar to Alphard.
, ChFC, of New Jersey Life & Casualty

Associates, Inc., in Livingston, New Jersey. Mr. Byron is a

life and qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table

(MDRT MDRT Million Dollar Round Table ), a former board member of the Association for Advanced

Life Underwriting (AALU AALU Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (a conference of NALU)
AALU Associate of the Academy of Life Underwriting
), and a former chairman of the

-- Mr. William D. Graham, CLU, of William D. Graham & Associates,

Inc., in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Graham is a life and

qualifying member of the MDRT for more than 44 years and a

member of the Court of the Table for seven years. He became

affiliated with the company in 1957, and served on the GAAC.

-- Mr. Victor A. Juengel, Jr., of Juengel & Associates, Inc., in

Helena, Arkansas Helena is the eastern portion of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, a city in Phillips County, Arkansas, United States. As of the 2000 census, this portion of the city population was 6,323. . Mr. Juengel is a life and qualifying member

of the MDRT for 31 consecutive years, and achieved both Court

of the Table and Top of the Table designations. He became

affiliated with GenAmerica Financial in 1971 and is a former

chairman of the GAAC.

-- Mr. I. Lionel Kelley, of The Kelley Insurance Agency in Fort

Worth, Texas. Mr. Kelly served as president of the Forth Worth

Life Underwriters and the local chapter of GAMA Ga·ma   , Vasco da 1460?-1524.

Portuguese explorer and colonial administrator. The first European to sail to India (1497-1498), he opened the rich lands of the East to Portuguese trade and colonization.

and qualifying member of the MDRT for more than 32 years. He

became affiliated with GenAmerica in 1962.

-- Mr. Leroy "Lee" E. Lohman, CLU, ChFC, of The Lohman Companies,

with offices in Moline and Geneseo, Illinois Geneseo is a city in Henry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 6,480 at the 2000 census.

The city government is organized under an Aldermanic form. The Mayor is elected at large for a two year term.

been a life and qualifying member of the MDRT for more than 33

years and a life member of the Top of the Table. He has also

been a life member and past board member of the 25 Million

"The GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame honors remarkable professionals. It is not for a single achievement, not for a season of glory, but for their accomplishments that span a lifetime and which should not be forgotten," Mr. Evans said.

"To help preserve this enduring honor and tradition, the first floor auditorium at GenAmerica Financial's National Headquarters Building in St. Louis will be named 'The Hall of Fame Auditorium.' We are developing a special display area and plaques for each Hall of Fame member to showcase and remember their accomplishments," Mr. Evans added.

GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame members will be nominated every September for induction the following year. Active, retired and posthumous general agents and agents are eligible for membership. Field members and home office associates may propose a candidate to the Nominating Committee, which is comprised of two senior sales vice presidents, the presiding chairman of the GenAmerica Advisory Council (GAAC), and three Hall of Fame members are invited to serve on the committee.

To be considered for nomination to the GenAmerica Financial Hall of Fame, an agent or general agent must have:

-- Led an outstanding agency or was a leading producer for the

company.

-- Worked as an industry leader to promote the life insurance

industry.

-- Represented GenAmerica Financial and his or her firm with

distinction in volunteer community service.

-- Provided outstanding loyalty and leadership to General

American and GenAmerica Financial by rendering guidance to the

company, recruiting assistance or serving on home office

committees.

-- Qualified for 15 or more GenAmerica Financial Conference of

Champions events during his or her career.
