Gemini Explorations, Inc. Acquires The Planada Gold Project in Colombia.

SURREY, British Columbia -- Gemini Explorations, Inc. ("Gemini") (OTCBB:GMXP) today is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement in principle with Minera Primecap S.A. of Medellin, Colombia to acquire the Planada Project. The Planada Project is an Exploitation (exploration and mining) License covering an area of approximately 45 hectares in the Sotomayor region of southern Colombia. Minera Primecap S.A. agrees to assign, to Gemini its 100 % interest in the property pursuant to the execution of a formal agreement between the parties, to be completed before February 28, 2007, for the following consideration: Payment of US$150,000, issuance of 2,500,000 shares in the capital stock (restricted) of Gemini Explorations, Inc and a 2% NSR. Gemini will pay $100,000 cash at closing and $50,000., 90 days from the definitive agreement being executed. The company has negotiated final terms and does not expect any changes before closing.

About the Planada Gold Project

The Planada project is located in the Los Andes Sotomayor region of southwestern Colombia. The property has excellent geologic exposure with a cleared rock face and virtually no vegetation. Veins range from 5 to 15cm in width, and occur every 1 to 2 metres. The main vein trend is N25degrees to 30 degrees W, with a 10 degree dip. Samples taken have shown the main veining subdivided into 3 zones. There are at least 2 sets of veinlets which crosscut the trend of the main veining. Gold exists both in veins and veinlets, and as disseminations in the host rocks.

This combination of gold in veins, crosscutting veinlets, and disseminated in the host rocks makes bulk mining of relatively low grade ore possible. Gemini will provide detailed sampling results and upcoming work program in the coming weeks.
