Line of skid loaders A skid loader or skid steer loader is a rigid frame, engine-powered machine with lift arms used to attach a wide variety of labor-saving tools or attachments. Skid-steer loaders are four-wheel drive vehicles with the left-side drive wheels independent of the right-side from Gehl Co. has six models: 3640E, 4240E, 4640E, 4840E, 5640E and 6640E.

* Models range from the compact 3640E, with a rated operating load of 1,175 pounds, to the 6640E, with a rated operating load of 2,900 pounds.
