In business, the bottom line is everything, so it is not surprising business leaders are exploring ways to shave operational costs as an impetus to business growth. SM-Cyclo of Canada Ltd.'s acuity has been the catalyst for the evolution of a product line that emphasizes efficiency in product design.

Defined as energy efficient products by Power Smart, SM-Cyclo's extensive line of power-transmission products have been proven to provide industry with calculable cal·cu·la·ble

cost savings, says Greg Banero, vice-president, sales.

"We have worked with Power Smart in order to show that our gear boxes do save money, and they are listed as an efficient gear box," Banero says. Power Smart is a recognized authority, which clarifies whether or not certain types of equipment or lighting qualify to be defined as energy-saving devices. SM-Cyclo, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, is an industry leader in the manufacturing of high-quality power-transmission products. Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Japan's largest supplier of power transmission equipment, is a highly diversified operation.

"The primary advantages of SM-Cyclo's products are high overload capacity - that is the ability to withstand 500% shock overloads and keep running without any damage to the gear unit - and high efficiency, and efficiency is something everybody seems to be concerned with today," Banero says. While the company's primary markets are in mining and forestry, including sawmills, OSB OSB

The company also serves the steel, power generation, waste-water treatment, automotive, food and beverage F&B is a common abbreviation in the United States and Commonwealth countries, including Hong Kong. F&B is typically the widely accepted abbreviation for "Food and Beverage," which is the sector/industry that specializes in the conceptualization, the making of, and delivery of foods.  and aggregate industries.

"Any industry that uses motors to power equipment would be one that we would be involved in," says Don Brownrigg, president of SM-Cyclo Canada Ltd. The company's product line boasts a wide range of inline, parallel, and right angle speed reducers with solid output and shaft mounted design, from the smallest sub-fractional reducer to several thousand horse-power ratings in size, Brownrigg notes. To serve its existing markets, SM-Cyclo has rolled out new products, which further enhance operational efficiency within industries.

SM-CYCLO'S NEW PRODUCT LINE

CYCLO 6000

The Cyclo 6000 speed reducer is unsurpassed by any other inline drive available in the market today. The product is impervious in the most severe applications and is designed to withstand shock loads exceeding 500 per cent of their ratings. Also, unlike conventional speed reducers, which use common involute involute (in´vloot),
v to decrease normally, in size and functional activity, an organ whose role in the body economy is temporary or
tooth gears, the Cyclo 6000 has a unique epicyclodial design, which allows components to operate in compression, rather than in shear.

PARAMAX PARALLEL SHAFT AND RIGHT ANGLE REDUCER

New manufacturing technologies have been employed to increase the ratings of the Paramax reducer to allow a higher amount of torque to be transmitted in a compact space. The product is now being offered in 18 sizes, with ratings up to 5200 horsepower and 4.5 million pounds per inch of torque.

Paramax reducers offer an economical and uniformly high-quality product for demanding parallel shaft and right angle applications with the added value Added value in financial analysis of shares is to be distinguished from value added.  BUDDYBOX REDUCER/GEAR MOTOR

This new product features an optimized gear combination to provide a more efficient drive package for the customer. The Bevel Buddybox combines the SM-Cyclo drive and a single stage bevel gearbox in a shaft-mounted design, with high shock load capacity.

Other features include:

* grease lubrication lubrication, introduction of a substance between the contact surfaces of moving parts to reduce friction and to dissipate heat. A lubricant may be oil, grease, graphite, or any substance—gas, liquid, semisolid, or solid—that permits free action of  (will never leak oil)

The Helical Buddybox combines the SM-Cyclo drive and a single stage parallel shaft helical gearbox in a shaft-mounted design, and incorporates the high shock load characteristics of the Cyclo and the adaptability and widely accepted advantage of the shaft-mounted configuration.

The product is designed for complete flexibility in mounting and input arrangements.

Other features include:
