Gay marriage goes mainstream: November 30, 1993.


As the country prepares for the nation's first legal marriages of gay and lesbian couples in Massachusetts, it's worth noting that The Advocate explored the burgeoning issue of same-sex marriage Noun 1. same-sex marriage - two people of the same sex who live together as a family; "the legal status of same-sex marriages has been hotly debated"
