Brazil's auto industry is getting a boost from exports. Volkswagen do Brasil, the second-largest producer for the German auto manufacturer, signed a US$500 million contract with China to export the Gol GOL - General Operating Language. Subsystem of DOCUS. The company plans to invest more than $600 million annually to increase annual sales to one million units of the Gol, Polo and other models by 2007. General Motors is Brazil's top exporter to China, thanks to two 10-year contracts representing sales of $1.4 billion. GM do Brasil recently began exporting Novo Corsa models to Egypt.
