 Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects The American Society of Landscape Architects is the national professional association representing landscape architects, with more than 17,000 members and 48 chapters, representing all 50 American states, US territories, and 42 countries around the world.  honored the environmental artists Christo and Jeann-Claude in November at Central Park's Loeb Boathouse. The Gates in Central Park was considered one of the great public art projects in the history of the country, attracted millions of visitors who wanted to see the bright orange gates erected among Central Park scenery. The project included 7,532 gates that stretched for more than 23 miles.
