Now City Councilman Bob Kramer wants Southwest Airlines to pick up the bill. Kramer maintains that pilot error caused the crash, so Southwest Airlines should be the responsible party. (The pilots were fired, but the National Transportation Safety Board has yet to issue its findings.)
