Gasoline update.

Gasoline Update: The climb continues. For the week ended Oct. 4, a gallon of self-serve regular in Los Angeles sold for an average of $2.209, up from $2.091 the previous week, according of the Energy Information Administration. The statewide average rose to $2.198, up from 2.094 the previous week. Gasoline prices have been hit by several factors, including the higher price of oil, production shutdowns because of Hurricane Ivan, and scheduled refinery maintenance.
