EMUA is an objective, continuous program that provides evaluations of the time and effort required to adapt systems to the euro. After an initial on-site data review and assessment, up to three subsequent evaluations per year will be carried out, to incorporate compliance efforts as they progress.

The assessments, which use data from GartnerMeasurement's extensive database, EMUA-specific data and GartnerAnalytics research findings, include: 1) an EMU Exposure Index that expresses an organization's exposure relative to others in the GartnerMeasurement database; 2) estimates on the total effort and cost required to achieve full compliance and operational sustainability; 3) progress indicators This article is about a concept in computing. "EMU quite possibly will be the most complex project that IT and business managers will face. To succeed, they need to treat EMU monitoring and planning as an ongoing activity, even if immediate system changes are not required," said Regina Paolillo, president, GartnerMeasurement. "European Monetary Union Assessment is the best way for clients to do this so that they can remain competitive on a global level."
