Gartner Group Announces Second Quarter Results Net Income Increases More Than 60% on Revenue of $91 Million.

) today announced record revenue and earnings growth for the second fiscal quarter ended March 31, 1996.

Revenues for the three month period ended March 31, increased 39 percent to $90.8 million from $65.5 million a year earlier. Net income increased 61 percent to $11.7 million from $7.3 million a year earlier and earnings per share increased 50 percent to 12 cents. Earnings per share have been adjusted to reflect the recent two-for-one stock split effective March 29, 1996.

For the six months ended March 31, revenues increased 37 percent to $187.3 million compared to $136.8 million for the same period a year earlier. Net income increased 56 percent to $23.2 million from $14.9 million and earnings per share increased 50 percent to 24 cents. Operating contribution improved to 21.7 percent of revenues, compared with 19.9 percent of revenues for the same period a year earlier.
