Gartner Accepting Nominations for Second Annual High Performance Workplace Excellence Award.


Finalists Will Present Case Studies at Gartner Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit in Orlando, March 19-21, 2007

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Gartner, Inc. is accepting nominations for its second annual High Performance Workplace (HPW HPW Hours Per Week

) Excellence Award. Nominations will be accepted via an online entry form from any end-user organization that has exhibited excellence and innovation in workplace management and technology. Nominations must be submitted by January 26, 2007.

"The high performance workplace is all about making workers as effective as possible in supporting business goals and providing value," said Tom Austin, group vice president and Gartner Fellow. "The HPW Excellence Awards honor the company that has shown leadership in balancing investments in people, processes, physical environments and technology to measurably enhance workers' ability to learn, discover, innovate, team and to achieve efficiency as well as financial benefits."

Finalists will present case studies during the Gartner Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit in Orlando, Florida The city of Orlando is a major city in central Florida and is the county seat of Orange County, Florida. According to the 2000 census, the city population was 185,951. A 2006 U.S. , March 19-21, 2007. Summit attendees will vote to select the Gartner High Performance Excellence Award winner from these finalists. The winner will be announced during the final keynote at the Summit on March 21st.

The HPW Excellence Award recognizes:

* Business Innovation -- The smartest workplace investments (organizational, physical, technical, operational and others) that resulted in people creating new competitive advantages for their enterprise.

* Culture Change -- Those who affected significant culture change that dramatically improved their business.

* Narrow, Fast and High Impact -- Projects that combine great linkage to specific, board-level strategic initiatives, narrowly defined user groups, clearly defined, specific objectives, such as helping find and evaluate acquisition candidates and a quickly achieved, high return on investment.

A team of Gartner analysts will evaluate and select three finalists which, in Gartner's opinion, best exemplify ex·em·pli·fy
