Gardner honored its own; Memorial Day 2008.GARDNER - Memorial Day, a day to remember veterans who have died in the service of their country, will be observed tomorrow with a parade starting at 8:30 a.m. at Polish Square. The event brings back memories of the 90 Gardner residents who died for their country during World War II, as well as in the nation's other wars. It also brings back memories of a special day in 1946 when the city honored its returning World War II veterans.
