(NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :GCI GCI Ground Circuit Interrupter GCI Getty Conservation Institute GCI Global Commerce Initiative GCI Green Cross International (non-profit international environmental organization) GCI Growth Competitiveness Index GCI Great Cities Institute ) said today it had completed the acquisition of KTVD-TV Channel 20 from the Channel 20 TV Company and Twenver Broadcast, Inc. Gannett will continue to own and operate K*USA-TV, the NBC NBC in full National Broadcasting Co. Major U.S. commercial broadcasting company. It was formed in 1926 by RCA Corp., General Electric Co. (GE), and Westinghouse and was the first U.S. company to operate a broadcast network. affiliate in Denver. The deal was closed after the successful completion of a regulatory review. Ownership of the two stations in Denver creates Gannett's second duopoly. The other is Jacksonville, FL stations WTLV-TV and WJXX-TV. A third duopoly, including WXIA-TV and WATL-TV, in Atlanta is pending.
