Gannett Broadcasting makes announcement.ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 4, 1995--Sam Rosenwasser has been named vice president and general manager of KVUE-TV, Gannett's ABC ABC in full American Broadcasting Co. Major U.S. television network. It began when the expanding national radio network NBC split into the separate Red and Blue networks in 1928. affiliate in Austin. He was formerly vice president and general sales manager of KVUE-TV. The announcement was made by Cecil L. Walker, president and chief executive officer, Gannett Broadcasting. Rosenwasser replaces Ardyth Diercks who has been named president and general manager of KSDK-TV, Gannett's NBC affiliate in St. Louis. "Sam is a native of Texas and has strong broadcast experience. We are confident that he will continue to strengthen KVUE's position as market leader," Walker said. Rosenwasser joined KVUE as local sales manager in August 1991, was named general sales manager in November, 1991, and was promoted to vice president in September 1994. Prior to his tenure at KVUE, Rosenwasser was local sales manager for KXAN-TV in Austin. He served as account executive for both WFAA-TV and KDFW-TV in Dallas. His broadcast experience also includes serving as account executive and as local sales manager at WBAP WBAP Well Being Action Plan Radio in Dallas and as station manager of KNTU KNTU KN.Toosi University of Technology Radio in Denton, Texas. Rosenwasser is a graduate of North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television/Film. He and his wife, Kay, live in Austin. KVUE is part of Gannett Broadcasting's 15 television station group.
