In celebration of the GEARS OF WAR video game launch, GameStop is pulling out all the stops throughout November and December, making a big splash at the 2006 MLG Championship event in Las Vegas. GameStop is sponsoring the Gears of War Exhibition Tournament which kicked-off in Las Vegas last night right after the GameStop Charity Challenge-Celebrity Match. The tournament features a winning prize purse of $5,000. Eight teams, each of which has an MLG pro will compete in a single elimination/bracketed tournament. A replay of all the tournament action may be viewed at www.mlgpro.com.

Gamers not at the event can still get in on the tournament action. GameStop and MLG are hosting an on-line Gears of War tournament this December. This tournament also features a $5,000 purse. For more information go to www.mlgpro.com.
