Gallup poll shows accountants' ratings almost fully recovered.Gallup's annual poll on the honesty and ethics ethics, in philosophy, the study and evaluation of human conduct in the light of moral principles. Accountants' ratings went from 41% in 2001 to 32% during the Enron-era scandals. The results are based on telephone interviews with a randomly selected national sample of 1,002 adults, aged 18 and older, conducted Nov. 17-20, 2005. Earlier this year Gallup conducted a poll on the image and prestige of various professions and industries (The CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism.
