Gallo Recognized Again With ''CHEERS'' Award for Excellence in Wine Sales and Merchandising.

MODESTO, Calif. -- A panel of 40 restaurant and hotel industry leaders has recognized the E.& J. Gallo winery as "Best Large Wine Supplier," citing the winery's "category management insights and contributions to operator training, promotions, and overall programming." The award was announced Feb. 16 at the annual CHEERS Beverage Conference, held this year in Irvine.

Gallo has won similar recognition from the CHEERS Editorial Advisory Panel in three of the last four years. For 2006, Gallo shared the top honor with New York-based Constellation Brands. CHEERS magazine is the premier national business-to-business publication for owners and food and beverage managers of chain and independent hotels, restaurants, clubs, caterers, and bars serving wine, beer, and spirits.
