Gadzoox to Feature Capellix Chassis-Based SAN Switch and SAN Solutions at Networld + Interop; Gadzoox Teams with Strategic Partners on Integrated SAN Solutions at Spring N+I.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1999--

Gadzoox Networks, Inc., a leader in SAN (storage area network) products, today announced plans to demonstrate their recently introduced Capellix switch at the Networld+Interop conference and exhibition in Las Vegas this week. The Capellix switch, the industry's first modular, scalable chassis-based switch for building SANs, will be demonstrated along with a number of SAN solutions and open technologies in the Gadzoox' booth located at space number 8319, in the main hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Gadzoox products will also be demonstrated in integrated SAN solutions in several partner and industry association booths.

In addition to the product and SAN solutions demonstrations, Dave Tang, Gadzoox vice president of marketing, will be participating in the "SAN Power Panel," Wednesday, May 12, at 10AM in room N207/208 of the Las Vegas Convention Center's North Hall.

Product and Solution Demonstrations Include:

-- Capellix, Gadzoox' recently announced chassis-based SAN switch,
   will be demonstrated in a 24-node switching environment with
   12 servers and 12 storage arrays.

-- LAN-Free Backup will be demonstrated with Gadzoox' Gibraltar(TM)
   managed hub and Seagate Software's Backup Exec(TM) application
   featuring the centralized scheduling of multiple backup sessions.

-- Serverless Backup will demonstrate the ability of the Gadzoox'
   Denali switch to direct the backup of data from disk to tape
   without a server. Featured in this solution will be the Denali
   switch, Gibraltar hub and Legato System's Celestra Power agent,
   Celestra Copy agent and NetWorker application.

-- Gadzoox Ventana SAN Manager 2.0, the industry's first proactive
   SAN manager designed to provide resiliency, fault isolation,
   performance optimization and the administration of high
   availability fallover configurations.

Demonstration Locations
