: GWNI) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with General Patent Corporation International (GPCI GPCI Geographic Practice Cost Indices (factor used in pricing medical services)

) to license and enforce the company's U.S. Patent No. 6,260,019 "WEB-BASED PREDICTION MARKETPLACE, a method and apparatus for facilitating electronic commerce between suppliers of predictions and consumers of predictions." GWIN believes its patent is being widely used and infringed by many of its competitors in the online sports handicapping industry and possibly by those in other industries such as stock predictions, among others.

GPCI is one of the premier contingent patent enforcement and IP management firms in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. . GPCI and its principals have been successful in achieving multimillion-dollar settlements and licensing agreements for their clients, enforcing their patents against such formidable opponents as IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Motorola, 3Com and Xircom. The agreement calls for GPCI to identify and negotiate licensing arrangements with potential licensees and infringers and to finance and manage litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right. , including selecting outside litigation counsel, if necessary. For enforcement of the GWIN patent GPCI has chosen the law firm of Jenkens & Gilchrist. Jenkens & Gilchrist is an AMLAW 100 firm with offices in 8 major U.S. cities. Twenty-nine Jenkens & Gilchrist lawyers were named in the December 2005 issue of The Best Lawyers In America.

Said Paul Lerner Paul J. Lerner (born 1946) is a patent attorney, law professor and an author, and has been admitted to practice in Connecticut, Illinois, New York, CAFC and USPTO. Education , sr. vice president and general counsel of GPCI, "We are pleased to be able to represent GWIN in licensing and enforcing their patent. With the average cost of litigation in a patent infringement patent infringement n. the manufacture and/or use of an invention or improvement for which someone else owns a patent issued by the government, without obtaining permission of the owner of the patent by contract, license or waiver.  case being in excess of $1 million, the fact is that obtaining a patent gives you the right to enforce it, but often, due to the complicated and extremely costly nature of the process, not the financial ability. We are approached by hundreds of patent holders each year. However, due to the high costs of enforcement, we only agree to accept a small number on a contingent basis that we are confident have the potential for significant returns. Clearly we believe that GWIN's patent has that potential and with our retention of Jenkens and Gilchrist we intend to aggressively license and defend it."

Said GWIN CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Wayne Root, "We are gratified grat·i·fy

that GPCI and Jenkins & Gilchrist have independently evaluated our patent and both determined that its potential for generating ongoing licensing revenues, as well as recovering for past acts of infringement, are substantial enough to justify their making substantial investments on a contingent basis. We believe that many companies offering prediction products, analysis, or services on the World Wide Web must pay licensing fees to GWIN, creating a substantial new revenue stream."
