GVI Security Solutions Fortifies Sales Team with Four Executive Appointments to Lead Regional Divisions.

CARROLLTON, Texas -- Regional Sales Managers E.N. Simon, Central; Melissa A. Viviano, Northeast; Curtis Savitz, Southwest; Christopher Thomas, Western Cumulatively Have More Than Fifty Years Security Sales Experience

GVI Security Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB: GVIS), a leading provider of security video surveillance solutions featuring the complete Samsung Electronics line of products, today announced the appointment of E.N. Simon as regional sales manager, central; Melissa A. Viviano, regional sales manager, northeast; Curtis Savitz, regional sales manager, southwest, and Christopher Thomas, regional sales manager, western, effective July 25.

"We have recruited top industry professionals, each of whom bring many years of experience and specialization to our core professional business, which is the distribution of Samsung Electronics video products to large distributors, industry integrators and dealers," said Michael Capulli, senior vice president of sales for the company. "We aim to provide robust support to our rapidly growing distribution sales channel. The commitment of these additional resources will bolster our efforts to continue our double digit annual growth to the market going forward."

E.N. Simon, regional sales manager, central, has more than fifteen years of experience in the security industry. Prior to joining GVI, from 2003 he was manager of government sales and marketing for Northrop Grumman Corp., Technical Services. Mr. Simon led the Electronic Security Service division by defining and executing the strategic sales plans to the United States Department of Defense, Department of Energy and the Homeland Security Agency.

Melissa A. Viviano, regional sales manager, northeast, joins GVI from JVC Professional Products Company, where she held national sales and marketing positions since July 2004. Under Viviano's direction, JVC Professional Products Company successfully launched integrated IP security solutions to the transportation, education, and law enforcement marketplaces. Viviano received the business manager of the year award for her efforts revamping sales and marketing programs and increasing revenues 10 percent over prior year within the surveillance products division.

Curtis Savitz, regional sales manager, southwest, has been a security consultant for the last twelve years. For the past five years he worked with Sensormatic Electronics as a national account manager. Mr. Savitz has managed and sold video surveillance to major accounts such as Blockbuster, Home Depot, Target, Oshmans, Comp USA and Radio Shack. He previously served in the United States Army, and became a team leader in the 1/75 Ranger Battalion.

Christopher Thomas, regional sales manager, western, joins from Infinova Networks, where he has been regional sales manager for the states of California and Nevada and was responsible for bringing fiber optic transmission, IP and analog based video cameras, IP based matrix switches and digital video recording solutions to his territory. Prior to Infinova Networks, Thomas was the National Sales Manager for Vitek Industrial Video Products. Thomas began his career in the security industry with EMI, Inc. He is a 16-year veteran of the security industry.
