 Williams completed 17.2 million square feet of transactions, comprising an aggregate value of $2.8 billion in 2005. * GVA Williams represented Philip Morris Capital Corporation in a long-term net lease and sale of One Mellon Center One Mellon Center is the second tallest skyscraper in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the 195th tallest skyscraper in the world (see List of skyscrapers). It was completed in 1982-1983 and originally built to be the world headquarters of the Dravo Corporation (now Carmeuse . * GVA Williams represented Holtzbrinck Publishers Holdings LLC and their subsidiaries, in leasing transactions in Midtown North and Midtown South, totaling 175,000 square feet.

* GVA Williams of Connecticut represented the buyer in the purchase of a three-building package on Greenwich Avenue, totaling $23,250,000.

* In Bridgewater, New Jersey, GVA Williams represented GAF Materials Corporation GAF Materials Corporation is a company based in Wayne, New Jersey that has roots dating back to the late 19th Century. The company has historically been primarily focused on manufacturing of roofing materials.  in its lease of 316,182 square feet at 9 Finderne Avenue.

* GVA Williams represented Corporate Office Properties Trust Corporate Office Properties Trust Inc. (COPT) (NYSE: OFC) is a publicly-traded real estate investment trust (REIT) corporation that specializes in office development, and describes itself as "a fully integrated, self-managed real estate investment trust that focuses on the  in two transactions: a sales transaction of 209,000 square feet at Exit 8A in Princeton, NJ and leasing transactions totaling 201,200 square feet at Princeton Technology Center.

In 2005, GVA Williams strengthened its core of senior real estate professionals. The firm's New York office welcomed Robert Bakst, senior managing director, and Howard Kaplowitz, senior managing director, Corporate Services. In Connecticut, Jacqueline Pinyan-Durels and Steven Westerberg joined the firm as vice presidents. In New Jersey, GVA Williams added John Jacques, vice president-Ownership Services, and Paul Steinbock Stein´bock`

In November, GVA Williams hosted GVA Worldwide's fall 2005 conference in New York City.

GVA Williams is a founding member of the global real estate partnership, and this year's conference was its largest ever, attracting more than 350 industry leaders from 35 countries. The conference featured keynote addresses from NY State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, George Ross of the Trump Organization and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jimmy Breslin.
