GLENDALE- The Glendale Unified School District The Glendale Unified School District is a school district based in Glendale, California, United States.

The school district serves the city of Glendale, portions of the city of La CaƱada and the unincorporated communities of Montrose and La Crescenta.
 will host three budget briefings to update parents, families and the community in general on how California's financial crisis is affecting the district.

Briefings are scheduled today at the Hoover High auditorium auditorium

; Tuesday at the Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest.  High auditorium; and Oct. 15 at the Glendale High auditorium, all at 7 p.m.

The district is facing a possible deficit of $6 million to $8 million in the next school year.

``The budget outlook for next school year is not encouraging,'' said Superintendent Jim Brown
