GUNMEN SOUGHT IN 2 SHOOTINGS WOUNDING OF PAIR GANG-RELATED.Byline: Greg Botonis Staff Writer PALMDALE - Sheriff's gang detectives are searching for gunmen in two separate gang-related shootings that sent a Palmdale man and a 15-year-old boy to hospitals. The assailants are believed to belong to different gangs. ``We don't believe the two are related,'' said Deputy Dave Miklos of the Palmdale sheriff's station. The man was shot about 5:45 p.m. Saturday in an apartment garage in the 400 block of East Avenue Q-7, the boy about 3 p.m. Monday as he rode a bicycle near 47th Street East and Avenue R-8. The 26-year-old man, whose name deputies did not release for his protection, had been working in the garage area of his apartment building, deputies said. He was approached by a young man he apparently did not know. The man pulled a .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun, yelled some type of gang slogan and fired several shots. The second shooting occurred when a car containing three people pulled over as the 15-year-old was riding his bicycle. A man in the car yelled some sort of gang epithet ep·i·thet n. 1. a.
