Had he been convicted of all three counts, he would have faced up to 45 years behind bars, Green said. Doty, a Lancaster resident who has a 10-year-old daughter and other children, was released last November on $35,000 bond on the condition that he wear an electronic monitor and live with his mother. Doty started working in the Palmdale School District in 1983. He was president of the teachers union before his promotion in 1999 to the assistant principal's post.
