GUBALA, BRADSHAW NAMED TO NEW BOEING DEFENSE & SPACE GROUP POSITIONS

 KENT, Wash., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas J. (Tom) Gubala has been named a vice president of Boeing Defense & Space Group and will serve as president of ARGOSystems, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA).
 Located in Sunnyvale, Calif., ARGOSystems is the company's electronic warfare, signal intelligence and support systems arm.
 Gubala joined Boeing in 1966, and has held a series of senior management and engineering positions on defense, space and commercial programs. Most recently, he served as director of Product Development for the Group's Electronic Systems Division. Gubala was responsible for product line planning and new business development in the areas of airborne surveillance and control, maritime patrol and antisurface warfare, signal intelligence and electronic warfare.
 Gubala, 51, is from Chicago. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 1966 and 1968.
 Gubala also attended the National War Gaming Seminar sponsored by the Naval War College in Newport, R.I., and in 1985 attended the Program for Senior Executives at the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
 In a related move, Delmer G. (Del) Bradshaw, will become vice president of Product Development for the Electronic Systems Division. He succeeds Gubala, and will oversee the division's new business planning and development efforts.
 Prior to this assignment, Bradshaw served as president of ARGOSystems, a position to which he was named in 1991.
 Bradshaw also has held a number of senior management positions on several programs, including the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), Lunar Orbiter, Apollo-Saturn and Advanced Projects.
 Bradshaw joined the company in 1958. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 1957 and 1965, respectively.
 Gubala and Bradshaw will transition to their new assignments in early 1994.
