GUARDSMAN FATALLY SHOT BY ASSAILANT.

A man jumped out of some bushes early Sunday and shot two off-duty Indiana National Guardsmen who were helping with Olympic security, killing one and wounding the other.

The slain man was identified as Spec. Juventino P. Silva, 25, of Highland, Ind. Sgt. Danny L. Cook, 43, of LaPaz, Ind., was wounded when a bullet grazed graze 1

The guardsmen, who were hours away from returning home to Indiana after finishing their Olympic service, were wearing civilian clothes.
