GTS Duratek Announces Services Subcontract With Bechtel Jacobs.

COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 2000

 Duratek, Inc. (Nasdaq:DRTK) announced today that it has received a services subcontract for Bechtel Jacobs Company LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

LLC - Logical Link Control
 to provide low level waste treatment off-site.

GTS Duratek will provide packaging, transportation and waste processing. The subcontract has a three year base period with two one-year options. The subcontract scope is indefinite quantity and the subcontract value is a five year not exceed $21 million.
