Global Technologies Group, Inc. (GTGI GTGI Gas Turbine Generator Inspection ) has announced that their online delivery solution, NetDisc, has been internally deployed by the U.S. Census Bureau's LandView(R)IV Project.

The LandView(R) IV project is a mapping system that manages a compilation of database extracts from several federal agencies - including the Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1970 to reduce and control air and water pollution, noise pollution, and radiation and to ensure the safe handling and , the Bureau of the Census Noun 1. GTGI's NetDisc system allows users to select data from the provider's website, which is automatically written to a customized CD-R (CD-Recordable) A writable CD technology using a type of compact disc that can be recorded, but not erased (CD-Rs are "write once" discs). CD-R discs are used to master CD-ROMs, to back up data and to make copies of data for distribution.  or DVD-R (DVD-Recordable) A write-once (read only) DVD disc for both movies and data endorsed by the DVD Forum. DVD-Rs are often called "DVD Dash Rs" or "DVD Minus Rs" to distinguish them from the competing "Plus R" format (see DVD+R).  disk and printed with a proprietary label. Due to the data-on-demand ability of NetDisc, Census users may combine data products from more than one region -- rather than receiving additional information contained on a pre-recorded -- or pressed -- CD.
