GTECH SELECTED TO NEGOTIATE NEW CONTRACT WITH THE OHIO STATE LOTTERY

WEST GREENWICH, R.I., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- GTECH (NYSE: GTK) announced today that the company has been chosen to negotiate a contract to supply and maintain on-line lottery equipment and provide services to the Ohio Lottery Commission (OLC). GTECH has been supplying services and equipment to the OLC since 1985 under a contract which is due to expire on February 1994.

In commenting on the announcement, GTECH chairman and CEO, Guy B. Snowden, said, "GTECH strives to provide its customers with the highest quality of service and equipment. We are pleased that the Ohio Lottery has chosen to reaffirm its relationship with GTECH, and we look forward to providing them technology, service and equipment that will take them into the next century."
