GROWMARK Inc., Bloomington, Ill., and Agway Inc., Syracuse, N.Y., announced the signing of a letter of intent that provides GROWMARK with exclusive rights to negotiate for the possible acquisition of Agway's Agronomy agronomy (əgrŏn`əmē), branch of agriculture dealing with various physical and biological factors—including soil management, tillage, crop rotation, breeding, weed control, and climate—related to crop production. Agronomy commonly refers to field crops, e.g. and Seedway businesses and related assets.
