) Le Groupe Videotron Ltee announces that it has purchased 200,000 Category B non-voting shares of Tele-metropole. The purchase price per share was $10.50 and was made on the Montreal Stock Exchange Montreal Stock Exchange

As a result of this purchase, Groupe Videotron's equity position in Tele-Metropole is the following: 1,437,443 or 99.82 p.cent of Category A voting shares Voting Shares

Shares that give the stockholder the right to vote on matters of corporate policy making as well as who will compose the members of the board of directors.

Notes:
Different classes of shares, such as preferred stock, sometimes don't allow for voting rights.
 and 2,046,550 or 31.15 p.cent or Category B non-voting shares, which brings its total investment position in Tele-Metropole from 41 p.cent to 43.49 p.cent.

This acquisition was motivated by the current affordable price of Tele-Metropole's shares on the market and by the fact that the broadcaster's results show progress and signs of a firm recovery.
