Bert Boeckmann, owner and president of Galpin Ford, hosted a dinner for members of the caravan after the first day of the quest. ``I'm proud of the outstanding work they do,'' Boeckmann said. ``Firefighters work so closely that they develop a unique and special bond. They are supportive of one another, and they make people feel good.'' When Jensen was badly burned in the Malibu-Calabasas fire in October, Boeckmann was among those moved by the firefighter's courage and will to survive.
