GREET THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE IN A BIG WAY.

Byline: -- Alejandro Guzman

Welcome to your latest edition of valleynews.com, where civic-minded individuals share important news and information with the rest of their community.

As always, we have gathered a good mix of community stories and photos posted by wonderful citizen journalists to our Web site and put them in the paper for you to enjoy.

But don't conform to just one role. If you're reading this print edition, you probably care about what's going on around you and there is no reason why you should not be a part of the creative process.

You too, can join in on the excitement and post your own stories online.

Here's a thought.

January is almost over and Valentine's Day is fast approaching ... I'm excited about this.

I really don't care that people say the holiday is more of a money-making machine for businesses or refer to it as a ``Hallmark Holiday'' ... I usually have fun with it anyway.

There are so many ways to show ``that special someone'' how much we love them.

I acknowledge that I should not limit my expression of love to one day out of the year (If I did that, I'd be a very lonely person) and I think all lovers realize this.

But still, Valentine's Day is a holiday for all lovers to celebrate in their own way.

Consider this as a romantic way to express your affection.

Post a greeting to valleynews.com and tell your special guy or gal what they mean to you. Add a photo of the two of you to make it even more special.

Get creative. You do the writing and photography and post it on the web and we'll do our best to put it in the paper.
