Corporation (NYSE: GLK) today announced that the company's wholly owned environmental subsidiary ENCOR has reached an agreement to acquire Four Seasons Industrial Services and its two associate companies, Aquaterra Environmental Consultants and Industrial Environmental Supply, Inc. The transaction is expected to be finalized in January of 1993.
Emerson Kampen, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Great Lakes, commented, "As a result of this move, we have established ENCOR as a rapidly emerging leader in providing solutions-oriented environmental services to public and private clients. Our interests in this fast growing, highly profitable area now represent about $50 million in revenues and 350 employees in eight locations.
"Along with expanding significantly ENCOR's geotechnical capabilities," he continued, "the addition of Four Seasons provides an excellent geographical expansion, and access to the government sector as a key emergency response contractor for the Environmental Protection Agency.
