GRE forms company to rebuild presses.

GRE Engineering AG, of Steinebrun, Switzerland, has formed a partnership with Lakeside Engineering Ltd. to form GRE International Ltd., based in Boston, England. The operation will concentrate on rebuilding pre-owned presses with special emphasis on Ko-Pack machines, and manufacturing spare parts with press service at customer locations.

The new company recently rebuilt a Ko-Pack CI press from Kuala Lumpur. The rebuilt machine now features a second rewind station, a stretching unit for thin wall laminates, a corona treater, a contact web cleaner, a visual inspection system and a water-cooled UV curing system. The press is destined for a Bulgarian converter specializing in the manufacture of tube laminates for the toothpaste and medical products markets.
