He said that the math competition made him the most nervous. ``A lot of the questions were high school or college questions and it was really hard,'' said Grey, who studied an hour a night for the competition. The students competed in the subjects of math, science, language arts language arts pl.n. The only part that was hard was the other tests,'' said Zamora, who is looking forward to next year's competition. ``We were on a team together and in the end it worked out nicely,'' said Wassner, who also brought home two individual medals - a first in science and a fifth in math. He thought the science competition was especially fun. ``I knew all the questions and it went by pretty fast,'' said Wassner. ``I believe everyone did well.'' Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders at Challenger compete each year in the contest, so the sixth-graders will have another opportunity to improve their standings next year as seventh-graders. The kids raised money for the competition by holding teen nights at the school where other students could come to play basketball, work on computers, play video games See video game console. and pool or dance.
