GRANVILLE H. BOWIE NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES FOR GE CAPITAL

 STAMFORD, Conn., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Granville H. Bowie has been appointed senior vice president and manager of human resources for GE Capital. Bowie previously was serving as senior vice president of human resources of Kidder, Peabody Group Inc., a position he held since June 1988.
 Bowie is succeeding Charles E. Okosky, who has taken the position of vice president-global leadership development for General Electric Company.
 Prior to his position with Kidder, Peabody, Bowie served in several senior human resource management positions at General Electric Company. He joined GE in 1974, where he managed human resources for several components of GE Aircraft Engines' Engineering Division and its Advanced Technology Operations. He was appointed to GE's corporate relations staff in 1983, with responsibility for the company's human resources management staffing, and in 1985 became the manager for professional human resources.
 Bowie received a B.A. degree from Bates College, and is a graduate of Columbia University's Executive Program in Advanced Organizational Development and Human Resource Management.
