GRANT TO HELP MUFFLE JET NOISE INSIDE HOMES.

BURBANK -- A $2 million grant from the U.S. Transportation Department will help muffle jet noise for 52 homes around the Bob Hope Airport Bob Hope Airport (IATA: BUR, ICAO: KBUR, FAA LID: BUR) is a regional and national airport located in Burbank, California, United States.

The new grant brings to $57.2 million the total amount of federal funds Federal Funds

Funds deposited to regional Federal Reserve Banks by commercial banks, including funds in excess of reserve requirements.

Notes:
These non-interest bearing deposits are lent out at the Fed funds rate to other banks unable to meet overnight reserve
 awarded to insulate more than 1,000 homes near the Burbank airport, an investment that will improve the quality of life for residents who live near the airport, Sherman said.

The Airport Authority has added $13.3 million in local funds and has committed another $1.9 million to pay for noise-abatement work.
