 PITTSBURGH, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Grant Street National Bank (in


Liquidation) announced today that Thomas M. Foster, vice president, chief financial officer and director, has resigned to accept a position as consultant to BankAmerica Corporation (NYSE: BAC), where he will advise it on the proposed formation of a collecting bank similar to Grant Street.
 Foster was a principal architect of Grant Street, which was formed as a collecting bank as part of Mellon Bank's 1988 restructuring program.
 "We are very sorry to lose Tom's services," said William B. Eagleson Jr., chairman, president and CEO, "but we wish him well in his new role."
 A successor was not immediately named.
