GRAND CASINOS NAMES BROSIG PRESIDENT

 MINNEAPOLIS, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: GRND) today announced the appointment of Thomas Brosig as president of the Minneapolis-based gaming concern, effective immediately.
 "With the rapid expansion of Grand Casinos into various emerging gaming markets, it was necessary to appoint our top executive to president to better manage our day-to-day operations," said Lyle Berman, chairman and CEO of Grand Casinos, in making the announcement.
 "Everyone in the Grand Casinos family thought this was the logical course of action to strengthen our company."
 Brosig has been with the company since inception and has been responsible for the areas of investor relations, casino development and corporate finance. Berman, who relinquished the post, added, "This move will allow me to focus my energies on strategic planning, site development and new business."
 Brosig graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. Prior to joining Grand Casinos, he served as president of TJ Associates, a company specializing in business turnarounds and acquisitions. He has also served as executive vice president of corporate administration and finance for GIII Apparel Group, Ltd., the largest manufacturer of ladies leather outerwear in the United States.
 Grand Casinos, Inc. develops and manages casino gaming facilities in emerging gaming markets on both Indian and company-owned sites. The company plans to open Grand Casino Gulfport on May 14. This company- owned facility will be the largest floating casino in the world.
