Hills High' Arthur Mogilevski turned from his position on the court during a crucial point in Friday's City Section boys' volleyball volleyball, outdoor or indoor ball and net game played on a level court. An upright net, 3 ft (or 1 m) high, the top of which stands 8 ft (2.43 m) from the ground for men, 7 ft 4 1/8 in (2.  championship match, looked towards the Highlanders' rooting section and moved his hand towards his ear, motioning to the crowd that he couldn't hear them.

He heard them loudly and clearly not long after, as the top-seeded Highlanders rallied from a two-game deficit to defeat second-seeded Taft of Woodland Hills 20-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18 15-11 at Cal State Northridge to win the program's first title in nine years.

The Highlanders opened an 11-8 lead in the fifth game and sealed the victory on a Josh JOSH Joshua

The victory was sweet revenge for Granada Hills, which lost to the Toreadors in the semifinals three of the past four years, twice when it was the top seed.

Daniel Chae`s kill and an ace from Eric Rosenfield gave the Highlanders an 18-16 advantage, prompting a Taft timeout.

The Toreadors regrouped and went on a run to regain the lead 23-19 after a Junior Malal block. They sealed the first-game victory on an Ahdoot kill.

Taft carried the momentum into the second game, opening a 6-3 lead on a Garrett Green kill and increasing the advantage to 9-5 on a Brian Magbitang kill. Granada Hills answered, scoring three consecutive points, highlighted by a Mogilevski kill. Teammate Russell Illejay tied the score 15-15 with a pair of service points.

Green took over moments later. The 6-foot-9 junior had three consecutive blocks to give Taft a 23-19 lead, his kill made it 24-20, and the Toreadors took the second game on an unforced Jason Yang error.

The Highlanders answered with an inspired third game.

They took a five-point lead on a Mogilevski block, extended the advantage to 18-12 on a Leo Leo, in astronomy
