GRACO PROMOTES THREE EXECUTIVES TO NEW POSITIONS

 MINNEAPOLIS, March 1, /PRNewswire/ -- Graco Inc. (NYSE: GGG) today announced a new organizational structure for the Company, with three long-time Graco officers promoted to newly created positions. Robert F. Hasse, 62, and George Aristides, 57, became executive vice presidents, and Roger L. King, 47, was named senior vice president and chief financial officer.
 Hasse, a 32-year Graco veteran, will direct the Contractor Equipment Division, Pacific and Latin American Operations, and the Vehicle Services business unit. Aristides, who has been at Graco since 1973, will direct the Industrial/Automotive Division, manufacturing, distribution, and Eurafrican operations. King, a 22-year Graco employee, will assume additional responsibility as corporate controller including the accounting, tax, and internal audit functions, as well as continue to manage treasury, facilities, and investor relations activities.
 "These changes will refocus our key business units in the worldwide marketplace and create a strong, consolidated management team, better able to meet our customers' requirements," said company chairman, president and chief executive officer David A. Koch.
 In addition, Ralph W. Todd, vice president, Canada, Latin America and Sales Support Operations, has elected to retire after 29 years with the company, effective April 1, 1993. "Ralph's business insight and selling experience will be missed, as he held nearly every sales position in the company during his long tenure, and has made many contributions to Graco over the years," Koch noted.
