GPs' health warning on web drugs; PHARMACY.


ONE in four GPs has treated patients made ill by drugs they bought on the internet, a survey revealed yesterday.

And experts warned people are playing Russian roulette roulette (rlĕt`), game of chance popular in gambling casinos, and in a simplified form elsewhere. In gambling houses the roulette wheel is set in an oblong table.  with their health using these online pharmacies.

The drugs are often fake, contain dangerous ingredients and could even be prescribed by bogus doctors.

GP Dr Bill Beeby of the British Medical Association The British Medical Association (BMA) is the trade union to which the vast majority of British doctors belong. It is based in Tavistock Square in central London. It owns the "British Medical Journal".  said: "Buying drugs on the internet is a minefield.

"People don't know what they're getting. I wouldn't advise my patients to do it." The GP newspaper survey found 85 per cent of family doctors want tighter regulations for net drug suppliers.
