Although chiefly residential, it has diverse manufactures, including electronic products, health and beauty aids, auto parts, and , N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--GPU Energy crews have completed restoration efforts following Sunday's late winter snowstorm that caused power interruptions to more than 46,000 customers, 40,000 of which were in New Jersey. All but 3,000 of the affected customers were returned to service by early this morning. The last of the customers to be restored were in areas where the storm had the greatest impact in portions of Morris, Hunterdon and Somerset Counties Somerset County is the name of four counties in the United States and one in England. More than 280 crews from across New Jersey and Pennsylvania Pennsylvania (pĕnsəlvā`nyə), one of the Middle Atlantic states of the United States. It is bordered by New Jersey, across the Delaware River (E), Delaware (SE), Maryland (S), West Virginia (SW), Ohio (W), and Lake Erie and New York worked around-the clock and responded to more than 1,800 trouble locations to complete the restoration. Their work included replacing damaged poles, wires and other equipment as well as removing trees that had been impacted by the weight of the heavy, wet snow that fell on the region. |
