"Ron has the combination of strong business and leadership skills that will serve us well as he takes over the full management of GPU International." In his new role, Hughes will have executive management responsibilities for all of GPU's international utility operations (currently in the United Kingdom, Australia and Argentina) and the company's independent power projects worldwide. Hughes will report directly to Hafer. "By consolidating GPU's international operations into a unified group with a single point of executive management, we have the ability to resourcefully extract the most value from our global presence and maximize our asset management expertise," said Hughes. In his new position, Lantzy will report to Hughes.
